Typeswap collects nothing. Fonts added from a file never leave the machine; a font from a URL is fetched from that URL once.
What it does#
Typeswap keeps the fonts you have added and the sites you set them for, in the browser, on this machine. Nothing is sent to us — there is nowhere for it to be sent to.
A font imported from a file is read locally and never uploaded. A font given as a URL is fetched from that URL, once, by your browser: that request goes to whoever hosts the font and tells them what such a request always tells them. Nothing about which sites you then use it on is included, because Typeswap does not send anything after the fetch.
Data we collect#
None. The categories below are the ones Google's extension policy asks a developer to declare, used here as a checklist for every product rather than only the ones it applies to. Typeswap collects, transmits and stores none of them.

Permissions and why they exist#
- Access to the pages you visit. Replacing a page's fonts means acting inside the page. Typeswap installs its font through a route a site's own Content Security Policy does not cover, which is what lets it work on sites that block other font extensions; it reads no page content while doing so.
- Storage. Your fonts and your per-site choices, in the browser, on this machine.
Typeswap requests nothing else.
Data sharing and sale#
Because no data is collected, none is shared, sold, rented, transferred or disclosed to anyone — including us. There are no third-party services, SDKs, libraries or analytics providers of any kind. No data is used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
Remote code#
The extension executes no remotely hosted code. All of its code is in the package the Hub loads into the browser, where it can be inspected.
Children#
Typeswap is not directed at children and, since it collects no data, it collects no data from children.
Changes to this policy#
If a future version of Typeswap ever handles data differently, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the effective date above will change. Material changes are noted in the changelog.
